DISCLAIMER: This was not a lone dining experience.

After a day hanging out doing absolutely unproductive things, my friend said that she wanted to try this place called Tipsy Cow. And so we headed there to try out the food there. The place was dead seeing that it's a Saturday night. But of course, without the working crowd here, this place is almost a ghost town.

We got to ordering and I saw a Single Malt Whisky I've never heard of before and decided to try their 12 years edition. It's called Glenfarclas. The instant that it arrived at my table, in fact, even before it managed to reach my table, the waft of the sweet smelling alcoholic beverage hits my nose and brings back memories on my Whisky tasting days. This is one of the strongest smelling whisky I've encountered or so I thought. However, when I nosed it, it's not as strong penetrating as how the Royal Salute 21 is. It's kind of mild but somehow the scent has a far outreach which is a little puzzling. Sipping it down, I find it tasting quite good and goes down very nicely. Smooth and easy. It however is a very sweet type of whisky. Cherry like taste and the smokiness of it is non-existent. Of course, the sweetness can never beat the awful Meukow Vanilla. That was god-awful. That can't be categorize as a whisky. But this was just nice. I like it much. If the 12 years is something I already like, I imagine the much aged ones would be even more impressive.

Next came the Salt & Pepper Squid. The taste wasn't that bad but it isn't a taste of salt and pepper. A little starchy on the taste must be due to the batter but my biggest complain over this dish would be that the squid was way too tough. I don't know what I'm biting. It's so tough it's almost like chewing gum. But taste as I mentioned before was okay. It's like an exercise regime for your mouth if you're eating this. LOL.

I really don't have much to say about this place mainly because there's nothing much to concentrate on for this. Oh well. At least you have my 2 cents input above.

Total Wallet Damage:
Well, since this isn't a solo trip, I'll just provide you with the individual dish price. Salt and Pepper Squid costs RM24 and a glass of Glenfarclas 12 years costs RM23. I'm unsure whether they charge service charge and GST since I didn't take the receipt and didn't check it out.

Final Verdict:
Based on this meal I had, 5/10. It's basically a place for people to drink more than a place for people to have their food.
